Nominow is, in collaboration with FC Utrecht, looking for a sporting data-driven graduate intern!
The assignmentWe have an immediate opening for a graduate intern who can use his/her knowledge gained in Data Analytics, Data Science or Big Data for FC Utrecht to make descriptive and predictive analyses for the coming FC Utrecht Season Card campaign. This can involve things like a Churn Rate analysis, next best action or the constructing of existing or new personas for better focused ways of communication.
During your internship you will be assisted by data specialists from Nominow and football professionals from FC Utrecht.
The desired outcome of your research is an advice on how we can use data-driven, targeted communication to increase our renewal rate with existing season ticket holders and to welcome new season ticket holders to the stadium.

At Nominow, data is our drive and we believe that everything revolves around the #id. Unique customer profiles with relevant customer characteristics are the secret behind how every interaction can become a moment of truth. We help brands to make a difference at all moments that matter. To do this, we have developed a Customer Data Platform (CDP) that we implemented or are implementing at clients such as Tommy Hilfiger, Van Gogh Museum, Nike and Calvin Klein. In a similar way, we work together with FC Utrecht.
FC Utrecht is a Professional Football Organization which greatly appeals to people’s imagination, located in the heart of the Netherlands. FC Utrecht’s marketing department is responsible for optimizing the relationship with the supporters, preserving the bond between the supporters and the club and welcoming new supporters. In the coming years, the strategy of FC Utrecht is to provide more relevant and even better service to supporters (and other followers) based on data usage.
With the recent developments in which Customer Data Platform Nominow has been put to use, FC Utrecht is able to serve its supporters in a more effective and targeted manner. The platform provides FC Utrecht with a real-time central profile where data flowing from almost all of FC Utrecht's customer touch points is combined with that of supporters. Supporter data is collected from anything between purchases in the web shop to season ticket holders who scan their ticket at the gates.
